I've had my Logitech MX700 for several years and I like it but I'd like to look at others.

The thing I like most about it is that it has 2 buttons on the left side of the mouse that I do use for in-game moves. I think I may be coordinated enough to possibly use more buttons (maybe).

Logitech G7, if you can find one. It's the cordless version of the G5 which I swear by. However I think it doesn't have 2 side buttons. The new G5 does. The G5 also has a really long cord, so lack of cordlessness has never bothered me.

I tried cordless for a while ...but the auto-center thing was messing with me while playing BF2. Start to shoot at somebody and my toon spins in a circle real quick....so I went back to my cord. I like my logitech with the 2 side programmable buttons and the ability to change the dps with the buttons on the top of the mouse is great. Tank Turret dps goes up to high.... zooming in to snipe dps is dropped for a steady shot.

Does DPI make that much of a difference. Mine is 800 DPI
