Raw throughputs of 600Mbps would power full HD content streamed wirelessly, using H.264 codecs. (http://www.networkworld.com/newsletters/wireless/2009/011909wireless2.html?nlhtwless=ts_012109&nladname=012109wirelessal)

We are getting there pretty fast! Now if we could get that speed through the internet, wirelessly, it would be a wonderful place. :)

How fast can wired ethernet go now? 100G?

Nice, but if the 1GB theoretical max scales real-world like other wireless protocols, they'll be lucky to get 500Mbps. Hopefully they've worked on such things as well as the problem with current wireless that degrades signals the more wireless networks you cram into an area (i.e. a neighborhood).

I was thinking about that myself. With 4 channels for each router, it will fill the spectrum pretty fast.
