This is the free one that they responded to Morri's question. (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/)
I use Goldwave.com, and Adobe Soundbooth.

I use Sound Forge. Easy, powerful.

This one is my favorite. Probably because it seemed the most intuitive.
Thanks guys
Now I'm researching for how to put the recordings on my website. Has anyone tried that? I'm doing testimonials that I want to have a play button or an audio player interface on the page for each testimonial.

Using sound forge, save your audio file as an .MP3 or .WMA file. You can then google the HTML to embed an audio file on your site. It's easy, and you can configure it to play right away or require a click.
The easiest way to go is to just link to the .mp3 files as you would any other file.

The straight link does seem like the easiest
I'm not following this Brim ->

I found this last night -> http://www.wimpyplayer.com/examples/index.html
I played with the wimpy button and wimpymp3. Its kind of what I wanted but the wimpymp3 is a little more "busy" than I wanted and the button is a little simpler than I wanted.
I'll see if I can find a sample of what I'm picturing. I know I have see it.

I use the slideshow from this site (http://www.flashnifties.com/index.php). They also have a neat tool to let you do what you want, I'm pretty sure.
I do the website for our church. You can see the slideshow here (http://www.gracewaychurch.net). You can also see pictures of me there, but I'm not telling which ones. :p

Vero, I see now. I didn't know THAT is what you were looking to do. Wimpy is a FINE choice... I'd go with that. It's extremely easy to use and very professional looking.
