I found this pretty kool (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HvgwR9ERCBo), and informative.

That was cool, I've heard of the 10 dimensions but never heard a good explanation for 5-10. I'm pretty sure even that simple description made my brain bleed a little bit.

The obvious question though is why do we all operate in the third dimension? I mean we just have easily could have been fourth or fifth dimensional creatures, and been able to zoom around our own timeline (or other alternate timelines), so why the third?

And pretty much all shows and movies that deal with time travel operate in the first 6 dimensions. They deal with alternate timelines and such, but not with different universal conditions, such as a different speed of light or gravity vectors.

P.S. If you want to think about another crazy thing, check this one out about why the force of gravity could be generated from another dimension (http://harvardmagazine.com/2003/05/gravitys-riddle.html)

I liked the series "Sliders". All except year 5. When they got rid of Jerry O'Connell, I stopped watching. That new guy was worthless.

That show incorporated the different universe theory, instead of the different timeline like so many others have.
