Yes AoC has greatly improved and anyone who left should definitely try it out again just to see. Everything from graphics, gameplay, classes, skills, feats, gear, stats, everything is eithe rfixed, improved, or will be fixed ASAP. Firing the old guy and getting the, "let's accomodate those epeeners and make gear bigger or what not" attitude is gone. They seem very dedicated to fixing actual issues with the game. Adding more high level content, more grouping areas, changing some public instances to private, and making everything more fluid.
My only true complaint so far is the < level 30 PvP minigames. They are still pretty much non-existant, and the amount of kills/wins/playtime required to level up in PvP. Other then that, it's getting hard to find a problem with AoC. Don't just take my word for it, I know you won't lol, ask Ceafo and the others that have come back too. We are doing rather well and ahving a good time everytime we are all online together.
Or reinstall, reactivate for a month and see for yourself. Make your own opinion.
