WTF didn't they do that instead of that worthless patch #6? Assholes.

I'm downloading it now. This morning, it still wasn't done patching.

The only reason I am up this late is because our puppy was barking at something outside, two of our cats were fighting, and I had too much pop before bed... ;) Lots of adjustments still need to be made by our critters and the new place.

Since I was up I checked on this, and that is when I found it.

I guess my next question would be: what shard are we going to try for open beta?

By the way ThaMan - to save you the trouble, make sure your video drivers are updated, because the game will ask you to do so before logging in.

Good to know.

As far as servers, the game is on one"shard" per say, but it is instanced. We will have to coordinate.

I agree, that is some top notch douchebaggry there...shoulda just given full file from the start.

this DL worked like a dream. I was getting a near 2.5 mgs download. So it took no time this morning, as I was getting ready for work. Installed, and it loaded like a dream. Just that was nice to see. So many of these OB's even the basic loading screews up once a game is installed.

Also, I would say the reason they didn't do the full download at first was a cost issue. I have to believe it's much more expensive to put that larger file on a hosting site. But, the fact they bit the bullet and paid up for a better experience so quickly, speaks highly of them already.

I had the installer downloading overnight, and started the patching process this morning. Within about 30 minutes I was up to 35% patched (for the 950 MB or so patch), so it seemed to be going pretty well. I've got a softball game after work today, but assuming everything goes well expect the appearance of Shadow tonight sometime around 8 pm est.
