Since we are having a slow time getting started, I figure we give everyone a few days to dive into the game, get their first 10 levels... then meet up to form a Supergroup.

Uh, which server are we on? I just made a character on 4.

How many do we need to set one up?

It seems most of us will be ready and online tonight. I will probably still be in noob areas, experiementing with my character.

That's another thing...how do we know which server is which? I hope the servers will actually have names...

Does it matter what type of character you pick in this game? Or is it like WOW where you can't even talk to the "other side"?

There's only one side.

One side, just hang with me, we can be healers, and pretend we are friendly then leave everyone to their death MWAHAHAHAH!!! :barebutt:

I am making one true hero, and a goofy character, and a anti-hero loner type :)

When my wife just logged back in, many of the servers were already full. We probably should coordinate as to which server to play on.

Because I noted three things about this:

1) Your character is not saved to a particular server (this may change). Your character is saved to the game client, and you can choose any "map" to continue your adventures.

2) The servers don't really have names as most MMOs do.

3) So far I have noticed a maximum of 30 players per server that is up. I assume this to be the case because around 29 players listed for a server, it is grayed out (which means it is full).

I'm not sure what my Friday night plans are, but if I'm at home I'll definitely be there.

Hi everybody. Long time no see. To my knowledge, this is a single server game with multiple instances (Like Guild Wars) so we don't have to worry about where we make our toons.

So how do we communicate / play with each other if we are all on different "maps" or instances? I never played Guild Wars.

We simply move to the same instance. :)

When the time comes, we'll pick a zone and an instance number as meeting place.

On the top of you map it tells your where you are and what instance...you click that and then pick the instance you want to transfer to. As for communicating since the game uses your account name and your character name (character@AccountName) i would imagine that you would only need to send a tell to the AccountName portion. Though since i have not tried this I do not know for certain. It will be much easier once the supergroup gets up and running i'm certain :)

Okay i did a test one myself and it looks like to /tell someone you can do one of two ways..... as mentioned before all characters are characterName@accountName.

You can /tell characterName@accountName message

or

/tell @characterName message

Both worked when I used them to /tell myself

If anyone wants to get some groupage in before Friday feel free to message me in game @ValVandor.

I have two 11's and a bunch of 7-9's

Wont be on Friday night. I work retail and will be working. I'll keep reading to find out what Super Group you all make though and try to hook up later.

Let's change that to Saturday?

Shadow

I think I may be out on Saturday night, but either night if I'm around I'll see what's up.

Saturday much better. My wife and I obtained a nice dose of food poisoning on Wednesday. I was just figuring it was a stomach thing, but by last night, and today, well....it's been rough.

I have slept maybe 3 hours since Tuesday night. had to call off today and could barely move until about an hour ago.

So I think my poor guy is at level 2.

Either day I would not be on until about 10pm est. My wife and I are in the middle of packing up our house in boxes so we can move out by Sept 3rd. After that date, I will be very sporadic in anything online because the temp house will not have internet and not sure when we will make the permanent move to Arizona.

Well, I forgot this week is my wife's night to choose what we do today (family day). It is her day off and usually when it is my turn, I choose something to do early afternoon (I like the evenings to relax and wind down).

So I may not be on depending on what she wants to do tonight.

If he was in Georgia, it'd mean he's putting air in the tires and taking down the trailer skirt :)
