Ok, so wooze I used the character builder thing.

I know nothing much about comic books and superheros outside of Spiderman and Batman....

So can someone help me tweak this thing a bit so I know what I am choosing and not messing the character up?

My main character will hopefully be named Electrolite. The theme is going to be quick and fast damage that is either close or at range, as well as multiple targets. Overall, the character is going to be dps.

Here are the skills I have chosen for each slot...

Level --- powers

1 - Rain of Steel
1- Chain Lightning
5 - Lightning Arc
5 - Flight
8 - Storm's Harvest
11 - Focus of the Unleashed Tempest
14 - Eye of the Storm
17 - Electric Form
20 - Sparkstorm
23 - Sneak (yeah I want to stealth some :) )
26 - Ball Lightning
29 - Sword Cyclone
32 - Thunderstrike
35 - Gigabolt
35 - Teleport
38 - Rebirth

How's that look?

And I am probably going to recreate tomorrow - just because I don't like the costume at the moment. Now that I know what the heck I am doing, I can get to level 5 pretty easy. :)

Oh yeah, old costume: (will post new costume when done)

No help here bud. You are in beta and I am not. Play what is fun. I just posted the builder for folks that like to dream about character builds. I use it to see all the skills that aren't common knowledge on wiki yet.

Have fun:)

If this is anything like City of Heroes I can give some advice. Don't go wild with a bazillion attack powers when some might be redundant, you only have so much energy and time to use them. I don't know this game at all, but from your power descriptions posted, I see all attack powers. Maybe whittle that down a bit, and get a few defensive, debuff, self heal or whatever powers.

I am in the beta, and reached level 9 today... From what I've seen (through group play and dueling), any combination of powers can be effective so long as the player who's using them knows how to do so, and has tailored their character's attributes and advantages to suit the player's own style.

As Wooze was saying, however, be efficient. I'm not going to bother looking up each of those powers; you've already done that yourself. What you may not know, however, is that the passive abilities can help you kick some serious ass.

No need to recreate the character....

Once you get to Canada or Desert you can completely edit your costume and or powers. Look for NPC with mask icon to edit appearance.

Powers can be edited at powerhouse at anytime.

I didn't know if re-costuming would cost anythig...

Anyway, sorry there was some confusion here. I was not really looking for "Are these the CORRECT powers." I was more looking for if the powers match the theme. I already removed Sparkstorm from my level 20 selection for Invocation of Storm Calling - it's sorcery power, but it still is electrical damage / AoE.

Keep in mind I really never have opened a comic book or watched many comic toon shows. I know they exist when I was a kid, just never watched them.

And we might not be playing at all...it really depends...my wife wanted to try the game, and she is not happy with it. She said it reminds her of The Simms do Superheros.

It will cost, but it is a small amount at that point.
