So as I was experimenting this afternoon, I came to realize something. One of my characters (I made one called The Sith Lord that I have not posted pics up for yet) is pretty self sufficient, but starts out with low power. It fills up pretty quick, but if idle for awhile it drains away. But for this character, survivability is not an issue.
I went to play Electrolite at level 10 to get 1 level this afternoon, and sometimes she barely stayed alive. I realized the huge difference between the two.
I purchased "Personall Force Field" for The Sith Lord at level 8. It helps tremendously. I got it for Electrolite at level 11, and now no problems at all staying alive.
So at least for leveling purposes, I figured out it is important to focus your states on Recovery and Constitution (starting energy pool and max health), and then after you choose your first two skills to start with, need to choose a shielding skill and then around level 14 or 17 probably get a healing power - such as Burning Chi Resurgence - or a personal favorite, DRAIN LIFE :)
You are going to be using powers - a lot. I hardly even use stats like Strength. That might change at higher levels, but for now, the more energy you have that does not need refilled, the easier it is to channel your abilities and really destroy those pesky Prawns ;)
