So I thought I would share my views on the different travel powers and see what everyone else thinks.

I have all my character slots filled and everyone, i think, has a different travel power. So far any of the flight powers seem to have a very high utility, minus of course ice because it can't hover. Rocket boots is probably my fav of these because I think it is the fastest.

Teleportation is great but if you are like my character who seems to be constantly in combat it loses it's utility quickly.

Tunneling is very useful at scouting out enemies and escaping not to mention being pretty quick.

Swinging my actually be my favorite travel power. I takes a little getting used to and doesn't help in enclosed spaces but it is fun.

Acrobatics is handy but avoiding enemies can be troublesome.

Jump and Rocket jump are terrible imo. Jump was lots of fun an CoH but something about it doesn't seem to work in CO. /shrug

Haven't used superspeed enough yet but I imagine that it is not as useful as the flying abilities because you can't scale obstacles.

Those are my takes I'd love to hear yours.

How do you get the travel power? I've been trying to figure that out for my daughter. I may not be high enough level yet though. I haven't seen anything on how it works.

Level 5. Just do the main quests, then choose either desert or canada. Once you travel, find the portal right on the flight deck and stand smack in the middle of it. Use it, takes you right to the Powerhouse door. Enter the powerhouse and train.

You get 2 flying abilities. One at level 5, and the other at level 35. I have fire flight; and I played around with teleport - that is going to be my second choice - becausse of how my character is built. Strike with lightning, if anyone gets close, phase out and go behind them and strike with swords :)

I've been using the Flying Disc power, and it's okay... It takes a long time to build up speed with it, however.

All flying power types build spped the longer you go out of combat. Flight, Discs and Ice slide(looks like a surf board). When you activate them there is a timer undernether to icon for it that counts down when it gets to zero you get a burst in speed til it maxes.

Once you get it down, a quick 1 second swing can zoom you around pretty fast in doors.
