OK, who has the early start pre-order?

It starts the 28th, and runs through the 1st. I am asking because I would like us to setup a time to get together. There is a Early Start ONLY event where we can get items that will NEVER be available in the game after the
1st :)

I'll be there for a day, but then I leave for a week for work. It always seems that they schedule game releases around my work trips.

I'll probably try to get some play time in on Friday night though.

What kind of items? Are they drops only, from quests? What kind and from where? Or is this all a surprise for early starters? In other words, I don't want to be running around leveling the whole time only to find out, for example, such items are only available for finishing first in Full Metal Jacket mission after I have gone to Canada....

So, what happens if you order the Lifetime Subscription before the game comes out? Do they just link it to your Cryptic online account until the game is released? I will probably go this route since I'm going to get the game. At least on mine, and maybe my daughters. Then I won't have to worry about subscription fees for quite some time.

I don't know about the lifetime subscription thing. That is a lot of money up front. MMOs these days are hit and miss, and lately there have been more misses than hits (unfortunately). For lifetime subscriptions I believe they lock it to your account as long as you have a preorder key. Like for my wife's account, it will say in her account details Gamestop Pre-order. That probably informs Cryptic that the account is eligible for the special lifetime prepaid subscription thing.

It doesn't say. All it says in the email is as follows:

"We hope you’re enjoying the Open Beta. If you can’t get enough of Champions, you might want to know that you don’t need to wait until September 1st to play!

If you pre-order from Gamestop or Best Buy (for US customers) or any United Kingdom, French, or German retailers, you’ll receive entry to our Early Start Program. Early Start begins on August 28th, and runs through the release of Champions Online on September 1st, allowing you to play the game four days before anyone else.

But that’s not all! Early Start customers will be rewarded with an extra special treat: A world event, available in-game only before September 1st. You have any trouble getting that? Everytime I've tried to get the lifetime thing, it says credit card denied. I've got a ticket open to them, but havent heard anything yet.

this won't be open until the first. it's like this with every game. the payment servers open with the actual release date game servers.

If you notice, it's only the US that limits the stores. The rest of the countries all are included....I wonder which country looks at the dollar over the people... :) Relax people. You know it's true, but relax I am just messing around here.
