OK, so I have hounded the wife, and look to be on for quite some time the first night or two. With this I was thinking we need to get to together ASAP in early start and have LOA up and running in-game, before release. This way when others who join us in-game on release they can be invited and be LOA immediately.

When, where, what level?

Also, once it's created we will need a screen shot from one of us that can have the settings maxed out. Mine runs fine maxed out, so I could do it.

I have yet to get my pre-order code... He's hoping I get it in time.

There is a pre-order code? I guess that is what I got from GameStop when I went into the store to sign up for it. On the card it says "beta preview key" - but in my account settings it is listed as "GameStop PreOrder."

I didn't get the Beta preview pre-order. Those keys were already gone. I just pre-ordered.

I believe it is attached to the code you got, as on my account info screen is says Amazon Pre-order. I got mine via email.

If you preordered from Gamestop or a few other companies (NOT BESTBUY explanation coming). Then you should have gotten a email with a pre-order game code you enter on the Champions website and it will list you as a pre-order under account management. This will allow you to participate in the early release. Now if you ordered from Best Buy your screwed they are snail mailing the early release codes to people (good luck on getting them by friday)

The code that you entered to get into OB, was the Pre-Order code, if I understand correctly. From Gamestop that is.

Clarification on the max settings thing:

I can run on max settings, it does get a little slow down if there are a ton of people, but no jumpy lag stuff, just a second of slow then it catches up and done. Now with this, I mean it's all max, and the % ones are all 100% but all the character stuff and distance I have maxed out. Though I can say that the difference from 100% to 200% is not a difference enough to focus on.

I messed around a lot with this and found that the character detail added some, but not enough to notice anything in a screenshot. It was all the general settings that make the difference. Setting them from low to high, or off depending on the setting made a world of difference.

In the end that pic of my hero was taken on my PC with the two 8800GTS's. With it, I was all setup on the highest setting, all the percentage at 100%, the charcater ones at 200% and the distance ones at 150%. The powers looked AWESOME!

If you have any lag issues with your card, turn off the comic book detail setting. it didn't affect mine enough, but I just like having it set to off. I'm not fond of the look of it. I only add this in reference to a question I recieved about the cards and settings.

Unfortuneately no landro when you sigend up for open beta it sent you to file planet to download at which point you were given a fileplanet code to uwse for open beta. You were then send anotehr code by Gamestop that is used for the early release. Its confusng but that is what the GM's told me in my email. I actually had 3 keys Closed, open and pre-order all 3 listed uder account management.

So I pre-ordered from Gamestop, and I've gotten from them a preorder ID (which I'm guessing is an internal Gamestop number since it's only 7 characters long), and the beta game key. The e-mails I've received say I'll get the retail game key and download information when the product "ships" (even though I did a digital download), which is September 1st. But I haven't gotten any information on my early start key. Should I assume I'll get it Friday when the early start beings, or should I start harassing someone?

I believe the early start key is the same as your beta key (if you got it from gamestop). I have a FP open beta key AND an amazon identified pre-order key associated with my account.

I bought mine the other day, and the code they gave me was on the beta code postcard.
