Note: Some addons are marked "Out of Date" but work fine with the current version of the game. To activate these, you may need to check the "Load out of date" addons checkbox on the addons management dialog at the character screen.

Some of these are playing the "numbers" game. I accept this, but understand that it's not for everyone so I will state this:

I am not providing anything in this list with the suggestion that you MUST use any of them nor will I endorse any such sentiment from anyone else. Just providing them because people ask from time-to-time.

My favorites:

Quest Helper (http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/quest-helper.aspx) - when you're tired of reading quest details on your "n"th alt
CT Bar Mod (http://www.ctmod.net) Button bars, completely moveable and customizable.
Gatherer (http://www.gathereraddon.com/) - adds collection nodes (mining and herbalism) to the map and shares nodes you find with other guildmates.
Alpha Map (http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/alpha-map-fans-update.aspx) - Map that can be brought up in the middle of the screen without blanking out everything you see. Includes instance maps and some boss info/locs. Integrates with Gatherer and Quest Helper.
Move Anything (http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/move-anything.aspx) - allows moving of any of the default UI windows, including the casting bar and the class bar.
Omen (http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/omen-threat-meter.aspx) - the agro management addon you'll hear us harp on if the boss keeps busting your chops on a raid and you're not the tank.
Deadly Boss Mods (http://www.deadlybossmods.com/) - when's the boss casting that next raid-stunning debuff that you need to heal just before? When's the boss casting that thing that will make your damage heal him? When's the next boss "phase" going to happen? Find out with this addon. Works for reg and heroic dungeon instances as well.
Recount (http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/recount.aspx) - Find out your dps/hps/etc vs. your mates. Please, however, resist the temptation to see who can punch up the most damage too fast for the tank to hold agro. :D
Titan Panel (http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/titan-panel.aspx) - top and/or bottom bar with useful information tidbits including a gold tracker that will add up gold on all your characters you use the addon with and repair costs. Network performance information, and several others. Individual display items can be removed if not needed.
Rating Buster (http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/rating-buster.aspx) - find out how that new piece of equipment adds attack, ac, hp, spellpower, and other stats versus what you're currently wearing. Allows quick evaluation of what's an upgrade and what's not.
Equip Compare (http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/fileinfo.php?id=4392) - When mousing over an item, it will show the item you have in the same slot. Useful with Rating Buster to quickly compare drops and rewards to see what's the best upgrade.

Omen is a lie. I have it and I still get my chops busted when not tanking.

Cartographer (http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/cartographer.aspx) is another great mod. Makes the map like google maps for WoW ;)

Cart is a great mod , tho if your doing exploring for achievments i suggest disabling , because you wont know what you have uncovered since it show the whole zone map.

I personally love Xperl, great for raiding, you can move around your target and target of target to spots that you like etc, I suggest you give it a try.

DBM or bigwigs is a must imo. No lie ppl say I dont need mods but some wow boss encounters are very complicated, and the interface was designed to allow these types of timer mods. Sure helps to know when a boss is about to land a AE that will wipe the raid if your still counting on your fingers.

Try the grids mods if your a healer type.

A type of itemrack etc is really nice for certian classes, i used itemrack just for the ablilty to hot key weapon changes for the Kel'thas since I had to tank then grab legendary weapons and dps etc.

The websites I use most often are Wowhea. Tankspot, Bosskillers, and bloodelfporn.com ..............err yay the internet is for porn. I think wowhead is the best for gen info for quest and stuff, while bosskillers is great for endgame, vids rock there.

My base mods are xperl, omen, cart, dbm, itemrack, auctioneer.

So many good mods out there, however I would suggest that for raiding purposes you all decide on certian ones , just so everyone is on the same page.

Oh last thing Ventrillo is or some kind of talk is a must imo, for stuff. Its about maximizing your time. Takes less time to tell ppl in vent thier jobs than typing it out. I would be more than happy to donate for an LoA vent channel.

P.S. I was going to change the grammer in my post , but to be honest im just to damn lazy to edit. Me speack great engrish.

P.S.S. I hope this did not offend anyone. If I did no albla english.
