Since there are no respec options in the game, here is a final, polished build I want to try for Electrolite.

Please let me know what you think and if there are any "holes" or things that need to be tightened up a bit...

1- Rain of Steel
1- Chain Lightning
5 - Sparkstorm
8- Personal Force Field
11 - Blade Tempest
14 - Force Eruption (still unsure about this) - might use Sigil of the Primal Storm instead
17 - Electrocute ** OR ** Containment Field (not sure which)
20 - Dragon's Wrath
23 - Field Surge
26 - Ball Lightning (with Triplicity :D )
29 - Eye of the Storm
32 - Bountiful Chi Resurgence (need a self heal)
35 - Electric Form
38 - Rebirth (self res)

I don't know all the power names by heart........so I may have missed it. But, if you don't have a block power, it might be an option. Some add greatly to the blocks affects, and some have nifty side affects or talent perks.

Also, if can be fit thematically I am always going to try and have a power builder that is ranged, so that I can be building up for full power as I rush into melee. I hate to rush in while taking damage, chase around critters, trying to build power. That last part is more likely just my slow computer, I find melee and harder to play that ranged, especially with the melee power builders.

You might want to definately plan on a hold/cc power, with the defense changes, I've found it necessary to use holds as much as possible.

For a flavor thing, for my storm/electric, I've been eyeing that Might power, slam your hands together with a big thunderclap and stun with sonic damage.

In all, I'm going to end up ignoring my own advice and pick stuff I picture my hero having:)

Link is respec fixes being patched. Lowered costs and no limit in how far you can go back, but likely very high costs for going really far back .

One question I would have, where is your energy returning abilities?

Example: Ionic Reverberation returns energy when an electrical attack arcs to a mob that has negative ions.

Also, unless this is severely against your character idea...why not Electric bolt as energy builder and blade tempest as your other tier 1.

Ranged energy builders are usually better and blade tempest is a cone attack that can be chained. Chain lightning still looks good, but blade tempest is a 100% multiple mob hitter (if that is what you are looking for).

Well since you posted that Cryptic might offer a full respec for free because of the recent changes, I might go electric bolt for my EB. But I was not planning on using this character for PvP.

In PvE, I have no problems building energy with Rain of Steel. And the advantage it has over electric bolt is that it attacks ALL enemies in range in front of you.

I am not sure what I want to do with Super Stats either.

Here is what I am thinking ATM:

Super Stat lvl 5 - Super Recovery (starting energy)
Super Stat lvl 13 - Super Dexterity (crit chance)

Talents:
The Hero (balanced)
6 - Mighty (8 str)
9 - Enduring (8 con)
12 - Martal Focus (5 str / 5 dex)
15 - Pro Athlete (5 str / 5 ego)
18 - Shooter (5 dex / 5 ego)
21 - Martial Training (+3 to str/dex/ego/rec)

Primary Slots:
Strength (Offense)
Constitution (Defense)
Ego (Utility)

Secondary Slots (look for the best combo of the following):
Constitution
Recovery
Ego

If I were to try to fit in a block, I am not sure where it would go - but I would use force block.

What I like about having ranged in this case is you build the energy, then when group gets around you blade tempest rocks their world. As you use blade tempest multiple times you attack different ways with the swords. What was the pvp thing about?

I had a gun+2 sword user in OB and it was awesome to pull with the guns than go apecrap with blade tempest.

Iceshade is like this, a similar build but a completely different way of gameplay. She uses Icebolt as her EB - and as enemies draw close, uses force eruption to blast them, and then takes down the remaining life with one handed swords.

The theory behind Electrolite though is have the enemies come toward me, and then slice them, then use the electricity to finish them off. Sparkstorm is quite powerful.

I usually have the reverse problem with Iceshade now...too many charging at me and not staying at a distance.

But I really am considering when I have enough resources to respec and go electric bolt / blade tempest for that first level set...or maybe just reroll her...

As it is now, I am thinking about just rerolling her - it would cost maybe 60,000 or so resources (I don't know what the currency is actually called at different tiers) - or to put it another way, "6 gold" (which would appear as 6 / 0 / 0 in your bag).
