I have developed joint pain in my shoulder due to the potion of my mouse use in gaming. See, I game in front of a 56" big screen HDTV in a lazyboy chair. My mouse and mouse pad are on what is essentially a TV try to my right. This works fine for browsing and setting up a movie I've downloaded or streamed from Netflix. However, in action gaming it is stressing my shoulder to the point where it is distracting.
I've heard on the forums that mixed 360 controller play is pretty good...so I am giving that a try. I'll let you know.

I tested it out with a might flier I created called "Manticore Bill".
It took about 5 minutes to adapt to the movement scheme, but it's now all good.
Keep in mind... this is not an either/or configuration. I still use mouse/keyboard to better navigate the UI and chat. I have just added the gamepad for movement and combat.
After playing for abut an hour, I think the advantage of gamepad really shines over the standard Mouse/KB. Being able to easily rotate camera, directionally move, block, use interact key and attack is definitely what the gamepad is all about.
For those that have a wired 360 controller... go ahead and download the software (free) from MS. Give it s try.
