Well, one of the greatest RPG games of all time has just gotten better. XBox Live released a DLC for Fable 2 this past week. It adds an entire new area, Knotthole Island. This area is full of quests, new gear, new items, new drops, new quests, and new innocent people to kil.......whoops.
It cost 800 points and is more then worth it. If you have this game get this, you will not regret it!

I just beat the primary questline last night, but I only have the game until Sunday. I think I will add this to my "Buy if you find it cheap" list, but I don't think a game with that short of a storyline is worth 70 bucks to me. I realize there is tons of other stuff you can do, but I think a longer main quest would have been great.
I have other problems with it, but they would be considered spoilers I think, so I will keep them to myself.

$70!!! OMG man who do you buy from!!
Also...many people say the story line is too short...not really. Problem is no one does everything there is to do. I started a new one before I traded it off, biggest mistake ever! I was HOURS into it and not even close to halfway through the story. Had a #$%^ton of things done, a crap load of money and own like 3 entire camps and about 1/3 of an entire town :).
They designed it so you would focus on the whole game...not just the main quest. I think the balance is great. Look at Fallout 3....AMAZING game, but it takes SO DAMN long to get things done that it can feel like a job....Fable 2 balanced it out...plus now with the new Knotthole Island DLC the Story changes :)

I am in Canada, most games are still 60 bucks, but whenever I see Fable 2 it is 70. Don't get me wrong, there is a lot to like about this game, but it's not worth the high price tag for me when I can beat the main storyline in like 5 hours. They did give you about a zillion other things you CAN do, but they really didn't build in much of a reason for me to WANT to do it.

Maybe you keep finding the collector's edition? That goes for 70 bucks down here. Kinda odd that it would be the only game that's 70 bucks.

the game makes it so tempting to rush through the main story line. The bread crumbs and the sense of urgency the story tries to convey make it very tempting.
I've personally been having a blast doing the side quests and just generally futzing around in the world. It's almost like playing an MMO with a pause button.
I did download the DLC pack but I've not bothered exploring the new island yet.

No, I thought that at first too, but it was the regular version. If it had been 60 (not much of a difference) I would have bought it by now, but the fact that it is just arbitrarily 10 bucks more expensive than all the other games turned me away, so I just rented it.

I totally agree, the main questline draws me to keep going but I refuse to given all the other things to do.
I have my options set so I can see my friends in game and just happened to see DoubleOHoot and was able to give him a gift to get that achievement so thanks for that even if you couldn't see me in game ;)
