Enjoy.

The developers say the choices you made in the first game will affect what happens in ME2. So keep your ME saved games, or as in my case, play it again.

None of the choices I made are going to change the friggin KIA. I do hope that letting that Queen go will reap some rewards though! Or prove my folly...

I let the queen go as well. The trailer was cool but I can't even start looking at this game yet since it's not coming out until next year.

I killed the queen. From her past history of trying to consume the galaxy, as well as having a very strong motivation to lie to you I saw no reason to allow her to live.

That's the one thing about games with "morals" in them -- I don't like how un-complicated their moral systems are. I like the idea of including a "moral" system, I just wish they were more complex than obviously-"good" or obviously-"bad" choices.

I realize it would be a pain to code, but allowing you to choose a moral path and then reward or punish you based on how well you follow that moral path is something I'd rather see.

I viewed letting the queen live as the morally correct decision, seeing as the alternative meant eradicating an entire race of sentient life-forms.

The decision to kill/save the Queen is likely one of the major choices that will influence ME2, but the ending has to be the other. As far as the "KIA" part of the trailer, it could just be a way to take Shepard off the map and into spec ops stuff instead of the spotlight as a Spectre. At least Bioware is trying to make decisions matter across the trilogy, which is a hell of a lot more than you can say for most other companies.

Lot's of decisions needed to be made in the 1st game. These were some of the ones that seem like they could have a greater impact on the 2nd game:

Saving the Council
Appointing Anderson or Udina to the Council
Helping Helena Blake or not
Kill Balak or free the hostages on X57
Helpling Tali with her pilgrimage
Dealing with the Shadow Broker
Aiding Captain Kirrahe on the Virmire assault
The Love interest
Wrex's & Garrus's personal quests

I hope they impact the game specifically rather than "you finished as Paragon, Renegade, or Neutral so we'll set you up accordingly".
