How much gold would you be willing to spend to get a Red Proto Drake Mount??? How much gold would you be willing to spend on a repair bill???

How much time would you be willing to spend???

I am starting a group dedicated to completing the Glory of the Hero achievement. I am looking for at least 4 other players who will be as dedicated as myself to accomplishing this achievement and getting the Red Proto Drake Mount.

Requirements:

1. Must be willing to die for this goal:
-- If at first you don't succeed, try try again. If we have made a good attempt at the Maiden of Grief, but our timer has expired, are you willing to wipe to try again?

2. Must be willing to use Ventrilo:
-- Communication is key. Sometimes we have to make a decision at a moment's notice and stopping to type is not the key to completion. I have a Vent server, so all you need is to download the client. Ask me for details if you need them.

3. Must be well geared, know the fights and be willing to do the research:
-- Many achievements will require high dps, high hps, capable tanks, etc. This is not a loot run, and will not be used for getting gear or gearing people up. The better you know the fights and the more research everyone is willing to do the less dying and the quicker we accomplish this goal.

4. Must be willing to sacrifice loot:
--This is not a run to complete Heroics or to acquire loot or badges. While we will get loot, money and badges; that is not what this is about. I would like to see this group also complete the Needy and Greedy achievements while we are at it. This might mean that once several people have completed the Needy achievement and one or two members of the group are still rolling, that those few members will get all the blue and purple loot. This is not about being fair with loot distribution or being greedy for money, etc.....this is ONLY about completing achievements. If you need money or loot, this is not the group for you.

5. Must be flexible:
-- We can make a tentative schedule, but there are a few other achievements that we can work on too based on what the daily regular and daily heoric quests are - Timear Foresees and Proof of Demise. While these quests are not our objective, I believe that they would compliment this group rather than hinder it, so why not complete these achievements too?

Please respond below if you would like to be considered for this group. I will take into consideration your wow-heroes score and gear. I will also be looking at Armory and check out your achievements to see how many heroics you have previously done. Please do not sign up if you haven't been in at least 75% of all the 5 mans...and know that preference will be given to those who have completed all the 5 man heroics. If we get enough people, we can set up two groups to complete this and swap out players based on achievement needs.

And one more thing, please know that this is not about excluding people or being selfish in anyway. It is about completing a goal and acquiring a mount and the prestige and pride associated with it. There is nothing wrong with taking pride in you character and trying to be the best you can be. If you want to respond to this post with a "Yes, count me in!" then great! If you don't have anything good to say, then go start your own thread.

In theory, we could accomplish this task in about a week...two at most.

Who's with me on this???

I've been looking to do these, plus snag the Bronze mount - I finished Timear, Proof, etc., already. Players have been on alts rather than messing with achievements on mains, so it's not been easy. As always, I'm fleshing out my main. :)

I'm good waiting to do this if you have a group poised to go, or learning how to do the few I don't know. Vent is set up and ready to roll.

I wish I could help, but I can't commit to the time for another couple weeks, I think. Too many things left over from the move.

Well, it looks like we have 1 tank, 3 dps and 2 healers. Anyone know of anyone else that might be interested in doing this achievement so that we can form up two groups and no one will get left out?

I have created a list of what everyone has completed as of yesterday afternoon. Occulus will need to be run 3-4 times, so we should probably start there. I think Demeth and I are the only 2 to have completed heroic Occulus and a couple of you have never been there at all. We may need to take the first run in there as a practice run, which means at least 5 runs to complete.

Might as well try Nexus while we are there, but Nexus ach's can be tough. If we get frustrated, then we'll all hearth back to Dalaran since Violet Hold may also take several attempts as there is no predicting the bosses.
Then we can all head to COS and get someone a Bronze Drake mount and complete the Culling of Time Ach. This would be a good time to ask who is still in need/want of the Bronze Drake? I have one.

There are 14 ach's in these 4 dungeons and as stated, we will need to run most of them several times to complete all the ach's in them. I think this is a good place to start. But I am also open to suggestions. Anyone else have any thoughts??

Next thing we need is a schedule. When is everyone available to try these? I am game for running more than four a day, or less if necessary. I just thought these four mentioned will need several attempts, so the quicker we get through them the better.

Also, here is my vent info (hopefully this is a safe place to post it):

hostname: v32.darkstarllc.com
port: 6307
password: dalaran

No one has completed the Needy ach, so I recommend that everything that drops from a boss, or any BOE blues, we click Need to try for this ach too. Once someone rolls a 100, they can no longer roll until the other four have completed the Needy ach. Then we will move on to Greedy. As we all have wow-heroes scores of over 2000, I know that none of you will actually need what is dropped, we are just going for ach's. The only exception to this type of rolling will be the Bronze Drake and (though I have never seen it drop) the Blue Proto Drake mount in UP. Pass on it and then everyone who does not have it can roll as normal.

Well, I think that is enough for one post. Let me know your thoughts.

Nu is available for tanking.
Mophead could heal, but seriously has zero interest in the achievements.

Wish I could, (the reason I went on the other one) but I haven't done 75% of the 5 mans nor can my system handle downloading vent. My system works fine as it is, but if I download anything...it won't be. So I have to pass.

Good luck
