I need a cheap and easy way to journal

I get, sometimes, several people a day walking into the studio and sometimes I forget what they were there for or who they are. I really need a way, once they leave, to easilly enter in who was there, what they wanted and what I need to do, and maybe even update the status of it. I have oneNote but not sure if that will do what I want, and I don't want to pay another subscription to something. If there's an online version where I can see it from two places, that's fine, or even a way to see it on my iphone as well as my pc, that'd be even better.

It sounds like you're looking for Contact Relationship Management applications (CRM). I've used some local applications like Time & Chaos (http://www.chaossoftware.com/chaos.asp), and there are some web-based applications like vtiger (http://vtiger.com/). Doing a quick search for "crm iphone" turned up some iPhone apps as well.
