I used speedtest.net and I check a random server in California and got a 15.86 mb/s download speed and a .58mb/s upload speed.
It varies depending on server but it that normal for other people? I used Road Runner cable.

When you run a speed test, you need to do it to the closest server to you in order to get an accurate reading.
One thing you need to remember is, even though cable is still a shared network, they have incredible pipes now. Most people will never use what is available to them. And that is what the cable companies are banking on. (Unless you are running torrents, and pirating software, then you use every bit of available bandwidth)
Prejudice? Probably. Reality? Probably.![]()
