Can't edit... Suggestions are welcome, especially since the Costume Creator is what I like most about CO. Seriously, it would be really awesome (IMO) if everyone made threads like this!

I like the first one the best, but it is definitely an Iron Man kind of clone. The second one looks good too though and is pretty unique. So if you really want to build your character up, you could go with the light one first, then the heavy as you get another slot (you get more powerful so get more armor).
Either way, you get extra costume slots so quickly that you won't have this problem for long.

That's kind of what I tried to start with my Champions Diary thread idea, but it's a good amount of work to keep it up. I would have gladly done it though, because it was a lot of fun, except I switched to playing a different character than the one I started it with. Maybe a good idea is to have one thread per member where they can post all of their character screenshots and add diary-like posts once in a while when there's time.

I don't play CO, but I figured I'd give ya input. I chose light now, heavy later. Light now: because it looks a little more unique, plus I like the blue color and the goggles. Heavy later: because it looks like a Stormtrooper and Iron Man had a love child, despite being badass.

Thanks for all the input, folks! I now have three costume slots, so the first contains the light version (plus an armored subligar), and the second has the Storm Trooper - Iron Man love child. : ) Since the heavy ne actually has robotic limbs, I've found it not too RP-friendly in most scenarios.
Therefore, I'm making an in-between. It should look tougher than the light costume (while keeping some of the originality), but (unfortunately) not as badass as the Heavy. The goggles will go. Over time, the two light and heavy running costumes will become more like the original Heavy.

So, I'm back in CO for a month... Here's what I've been up to, before leaving and after getting back:
The light armor: As it was before, with only minor modifications.
I entered a costume contest (sponsored by SPEAR) with this last night. And won.
------------
The medium armor: Built for cruisin'; the light armor's big brother.
I used this all the time back when it was new (last year), but since returning prefer to use the light armor.
------------
-below this line is this month's stuff-
The heavy armor:
This is my current WIP replacement for the Storm Trooper armor. I'm pretty much committed to using the chestpiece and bracers, since I paid for them with actual money.
I tried it with the shiny steel from the other two armors, and with shiny blue paint... Neither ended up looking good, no matter what I did to the rest of the costume and its colors. And now I know why.
While I'm somewhat satisfied with the overall look of this new Heavy set, suggestions would be awesome, including ones from people who don't play the game. I opted to forego the helmet because of the comments that I recieved during the contest-- People seemed to like my character's face, so I'll try not to cover it up too much.
PS: There are also alts with nice costumes but, well, they're alts.

Sorry for distracting you back down to this forum again so soon... But there's a problem that needed fixing.
All of my costumes were looking too similar, and the lore behind my character was too simplistic, so I'm fixing both in one fell swoop.
Missing for seven months? More like seven years!

(will probably add some hoop earrings later)
Seven years stranded in the northern Tundra, following an accident during the jet to "Canada." Solthanos (an energy projector) salvaged a chunk of his old Cryotite (name isn't final) core and used it to stave off the eventual freezing-to-death that would otherwise occur. He eventually met up with a nomadic tribe, and proved his worth to them as a sorcerer. Finally, after seven years, he's found his way back to civilization (blah blah blah, cliched nonsense).
Edit: The costume that I was working on before has been adapted into a potential nemesis character.

I like the look of the character above...but the neck piece is VERY prominant. Is there a smaller version?

Agreed on the necklace... But there isn't a smaller version available, unfortunately. Unless you were talking about the cowl.

You can do a Sub Zero imitation - I actually have a costume in my files that imitates sub zero - http://forum.lostorder.net/showthread.php?t=2187
Not to the T - but close enough to what CO offers
