world of warcraft: Cataclysm Beta Test Invitation!
Get those opt-ins ready for the World of Warcraft: Cataclysm closed beta! The sundering of Azeroth is nigh, and you don’t want to be left out in the cold of Northrend when you could be enjoying the sun-drenched beaches on the goblin isle of Kezan. To ensure you’re opted-in and eligible as a potential candidate, you’ll need a World of Warcraft license attached to your Battle.net account, have your current system specifications uploaded to the Battle.net Beta Profile Settings page, and have expressed interest through the franchise-specific check boxes.
Get the Installer - Log in to your Battle.net account: htps://us.baXXtle.n/login
** IMPORTANT ** To avoid graphical bugs and other technical issues, please ensure your video card drivers are up-to-date.
Enjoy the game!

Looks pretty close to something realistic but... it ain't. I broke the links to make sure someone doesn't click on them.
htp://ww.worldofwarcraft-admin-loginsbattle.com:8088/account/support/login-support.xml/login.asp?ref=https%3A%2F%2Fus.battle.net%2Faccoun t%2Fmanagement%2Fbeta-profile.xml&app=bam&rhtml=y&rhtml=true
That's where the link REALLY led to. Again - broke it so you can't click.

Seriously, if people haven't learned to close the email and type in the battle.net address yourself... they deserve whatever malicious behaviour that befalls them.
It's been nearly a year since I was hacked, thank you Blizzard for FORCING me to get an authenticator and I managed to do that without touching a phishing email. Since I've been hacked I get 2-3 phishing emails a day thanks to my email address being added to their list. Thanks again, Blizzard.

Yup. Once I finished 15 minutes worth of "I got in BETA!" dance in front of my girlfriend, I checked all the links and manually went to my account.
The way it'll work is you go to battle net and login. Then do "manage my games" or something like that and you will see the link for the beta.
There is no special download other than the beta installer from Bliz that works *exactly* like the regular game downloader/installer.

Blizzard has also pointed out that its best to just check your b-net account directly for invites since thats the only fool proof way to do it.
